A brand new boat combining beautiful classic clinker/lapstrake dory lines with the latest high performance sailing and rowing functionality.

The Scandinavian Dory 18 has been grown from the deepest roots of nautical tradition to the highest branches of modern materials and aeronautical engineering to bring you the most unique and useful small craft available on the market today.

This beautiful high-quality classic lapstrake/clinker boat will turn heads at the mooring, on the trailer, and when it overtakes much larger boats from the same yacht club – a real “wolf in sheep’s clothes”. The boat is co-designed by renowned naval architects Roger Long and Eric Sponberg.

Swinging carbon fiber centerboard concealed entirely below the cockpit floor.
Self-draining cockpit.
Swinging carbon fiber rudder.
Insulated storage hatch.
Storage hatch for an optional battery.
Ballast tank with removable water or sand ballast
Big roach cat rig with a wishbone boom, single reefing and tapered two-part carbon fiber mast.
Rope gunnel guard wrapped around the boat for protection.
Significant reserve buoyancy, which will keep the boat floating if cockpit is flooded.
The boat is made in strong and lightweight fully cored fiberglass/carbon/aramid hybrid fiber and VE resin composite, with two-toned non-skid gelcoat pattern.
Removable wooden sliding seat, recessed footpads, carbon fiber oars and Concept II oarlocks on outriggers.
Optional removable fixed rowing seats.
Hull color options are cream white, dark blue, dark red, black and dark green. The deck color is cream white with light-brown non- skid surface.
